WHO: strains from India continue to mutate

 

WHO said the Delta strain from India has appeared in more than 80 countries and continues mutation when spreading throughout the globe.

The World Health Organization (WHO) on June 16 warned Delta strains from India is increasingly spreading and currently accounts for 10% of the new total infection in the US, an increase of 4% compared to the previous week.

WHO officials added that some reports have shown that Indian strains can cause more serious symptoms, but still need to be more rescued to confirm this information.

WHO is also watching recent information about a new strain called Delta plus.
