The former pardoned adviser pledged to help Trump in office
Roger Stone thanked Trump for his pardon, advising him to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate election fraud to continue in office.
Stone announced on December 28 that he had visited and thanked US President Donald Trump over the weekend at a golf club in Palm Beach, Florida to thank the amnesty a week earlier.
"I told the President how he could appoint a special adviser with full authority to make sure charges can be made, prosecuting those who are trying to steal the election through fraud.
Trump pardoned Stone on December 23 with dozens of others, including Mr. Charles Kushner, Ivanka Trump's father-in-law.
Before deciding to pardon, Trump reduced Stone's sentence in July. The president has so far pardoned five people convicted in the former Mueller's investigation into Russia interfering in the election.
Shortly after being pardoned, Stone appeared on Fox News hailing Trump as "the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln".
Despite Joe Biden being elected President with 306 electoral votes, Trump continued to accuse electoral fraud and co-created scenarios that could reverse the election results, despite the possibility of success.
